    Error on implementing QRules on SP2016

     Hi everyone. I'm trying to deploy a sample form with QRules on SP2016. These are the errors I've noticed:

    SCENARIO 1:

    1.  Form is set as "Admin Approved" forms and security is set to "Full Trust"
    2. Injected QRules is set to 2013, "Admin Deploy"
    3. Implemented the mapping for said form
    4. Added in rules for "SubmitToSharePointList"

    When I tried to run this on local machine, it gives out this error:

     Action: SubmitToSharePointList. Arguments:   submit: SPList
      mapping: mapping
    . Details: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.. Stack:    at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.SubmitToSharePointList.Execute()
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.CommandStarter.Run()
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.RunCommand(Commands command)
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.ExecuteCommand()

    SCENARIO 2:

    1. Form is set as "Admin Approved" forms and security is set to "Full Trust"
    2. Injected QRules is set to 2013, "Sandbox"
    3. Implemented the mapping for said form
    4. Added in rules for "SubmitToSharePointList"

    Form was able to run locally and the Save button works. It added new entries on the intended list, successfully published to CA, successfully activated it but the rule "SubmitToSharePointList" doesn't work

    You do not need to use the Admin Deploy injection option if the only command you are using is SubmitToSharePointList. Just use Sandbox. What are the errors you get when you try to activate the template? Can you or your SharePoint admin check the logs?

     Hi Hilary,

    Good morning from my end of the world :) I was able to successfully deploy and activate the form. Following your instruction, I used "Sandbox". Once I opened the form and clicked on the button, nothing happens. It's working now. I just added a "Close Form" action after the QRule command and it worked.

    So what I had are:

    1. Form in Admin Approved
    2. QRule injected as Sandbox
    3. Had the mapping in place
    4. Implemented the QRule "SubmitToSharePointList"
    5. Added a "Close Form" rule afterwards

     Thanks for the advise, Hilary!

    You need to be setting postback to always on the controls that execute commands. So right click your button, then select the button properties. On the browser tab, set postback to always.

     Thanks for this Hilary. I have another question though. I opened this topic up with my colleague and he mentioned that we have controls in SP2010 in which it was set to "Necessary" but the rule was implemented. He provided this screenshot.

    Set the postback to Always. You may sometimes have other actions on the form that are causing a postback which would then cause your command to execute, but to ensure commands always execute, set your postback to always on controls that execute qRules commands.
