    Archiving Infopath XML files

Hello, We have an old Sharepoint 2007 environment where we have an old Infopath form. It's not in use anymore, but there are hundreds of XML files (form submits) that we would need save as an archive to our new Sharepoint 2013 environment. How should we do that? I can copy the XML files and upload them to SP2013 document library. But if a user clicks the files, they will be downloaded and the user does not know how to open them. Well, we can open them with Excel, but they do not look very pretty or easily readable. There might be also attachments..? and version history...? Any suggestions? Thank you! Br, Kati

    Hi Kati,

Have you tried relinking your XML files? Under the library settings of your new library, look for Permissions and Management and click Relink documents to this Library. This should allow you to relink the XML files to the new library. Also, another you could check is your form's Versioning. Here you could open your form in design mode (right click > select design), go to form options under the File tab and click Versioning. At the right side, set Update existing forms to "Automatically Upgrade Existing Forms" - and then re-publish your form. Hope this helps.
