Modified InfoPath form in SharePoint library expired.

    Hi,

We had a requirement to add some extra functionality to an InfoPath form related to a Document Library in SharePoint 2010 a few months ago.
The person who did this did not modify the library template but an instance of it in the library itself and never published it to the form.

Now this pops up again and this person is no longer here to solve it.
Unluckily the form is saved as .xml file in the SharePoint library and when opening it in InfoPath, we receive following error:

"the form cannot be opened because it was signed with an expired or revoked certificate"

We can then see the certificate which is indeed expired. But I don't know how to change the certificate. The form doesn't open up.
The only thing I really need is to open this form in Design mode, so I can see the modifications (new dataconnections...) compared to the library template

    Please help
