How to bypass form load code if user is doing a view on a item?

I have added some code in the infopath form on form load where it prevents user to submit acceptance policy twice.

Is there way to ignore this if user is on the list and click on view item?

I added another rule to the Form Load. where if the modified is not blank and checked the "Don't run the remainder rules if the condition of this rule is met". This seems to be solving the issue. Need to do more testing thou.

You could also add a condition to the first rule that controls whether it runs.

Patrick, could you please verify how your method would work?  I am encountering this same issue, and even when an item is opened in "View Item," it logs a timestamp for being "Modified."  So unless I'm missing something, nothing in the "Modified" logic can stipulate whether the item was Edited or simply Viewed.

    Thanks!
