Only Selected Checkboxes display in hidden field

Attached is a sample of what I am working with. What I want is that when user checks a check box, the value is display in this hidden field. If they dont check it, I dont want the value placed in the text box. They have to at least choose one value, so if there is something dummied there, that is fine. I have been trying to piece together, but is difficult to do. The sample should be a good start of what I am trying to accomplish. If need further explanation, will see what I can do. But, basically if user checks the box, value goes into hidden field, otherwise, no value is there.

     Thanks in advance.

So basically you want each checkbox field to be put into your field 5 when it is checked?

Do you want them all to be together in that field or in seperate fields?

Do you just want the zero's to not be there?

Once a checkbox is checked, the value should go into field 5.

Would want to be all in one field.

Dont want the 0's. Really just need those removed.

    Thanks.

Go to check box properties and delete the zero that is in the field called "Value when cleared."

Would, but these checkboxes are required where users must pick at least one. In order for that to be shown to users, there values are set to 0. There is a hidden field that is adding all fields together. As long as that field = 0, the fields are able to show the red dashed border around them. Once the user selects one, the border is gone and requirement is met. I cannot use T and F, need to use the name of the checkbox for data purposes.

    Any other suggestion?
