How to create a print view when there are repeating tables and optional sections Infopath2003

I have been working on a Trip/Expense report in Infopath 2003 and created a section with a large text box for Accomplishments and then an Optional section that the user can expand to have more room to type additional Accomplishments. I also have a repeating table for the user to add contacts.  I can't figure out how to create a print view without cutting things off or having a table cut through to the next page, leave a blank page.  Since no two reports would be alike (some would need the extra room, some not - some might have one contact some might have 5 or more).

Am I going about this the right way?  I am new to InfoPath and would appreciate any help or direction.  I have looked all over the web and havent found an answer.  Is the sou tion to have code indicating the number of lines to a page and if theres more lines then insert a page break?  Just an idea but I dont know how to do that.

    Thanks for any insight,

    Shel

    Hi Shel and welcome!

You have discovered one of the biggest headaches in InfoPath - pagination. There are several techniques - including a blog by Matt Faus, but perhaps the easiest solution is to just limit the number of rows that you display per page such that they will never wrap and insert page break characters. You can add a section to the first cell in your table rows with a condition that hides it if it is not exactly divisible by the number of rows per page. Otherwise, it shows. In this section you can put a page break. Then, you will at least be able to control pagination but you may end up with some pages that are shorter than others.

    Good luck!
