change views based on user role. what am I doing wrong?

One form, two views - one called "Edit" and one "Read-Only". Users defined with "Edit" role should see the "Edit" view and all other users should see the "Read-Only" view. Here's what I've done: -- I have 4 users defined under User Roles as Edit -- "Read-Only" view set as (Default) -- Form Options > Open and Save > Open Behavior > Rules -- Rule 1 = User's role is equal to "Edit" -> switch view to "Edit" -- Rule 2 = User's role is not equal to "Edit" -> switch views to "Read Only" A user which is not defined with "Edit" role see the "Edit" view. What have I missed?

Well, you don't need Rule 2 if your default view is the Read Only one. If you are previewing and the rule fails, it will assume the current view that you are on, which could be the Edit one. Look at the status bar to see what role InfoPath thinks the user is. If there's nothing there, maybe it isn't finding the user correctly and defaulting to the wrong view.
