Hello! I have an infopath form that I created used 2007, but saved as a 2003 file in order to publish it to my sharepoint intranet since our Citrix Gateway is still on 03. Users can open and fill out the form, but when they click on the email Submit button I created (which is set to send the form as an active view), the form shows up blank. When I them fill out the form again but instead of hitting the Submit button, I have them click on the email icon on the toolbar, the form is sent just fine and I can see all the fields and entries.

 Any suggestions as to why it is doing this?

 Hello.  I am experiencing the same issue as well.  Any ideas?

 There could be a few possiblity.

 1. You are using features not supported by infopath 2003, as this version was probably the first version so it lacked a lot of features.

 2. You might have multiple views (but from what you said it's the active view so, i doubt it).

 3. Compatibility issue with the form controls, some controls cannot be rendered unless the other user also has the same info path version installed.

Also you shouldn't have to create a submit button as the form will generate one if you set it to submit to an email address or group.

It's probably best to check which the online documentations for compatibility.

Hello,

 I opened design checker, and no error messages have appeared.  The compatibility setting is set to InfoPath 2003 as well.  I am concerned with the security level.  I had to choose a restricted security level for my recipients to view the form.  My submit button was auto-generated through submit options.
