Converting Infopath forms into CSV format

    Hi,

In one of my business requirements, we would like to host some of our custom InfoPath forms onto SharePoint Server. And then we would like to convert those infopaths into excel or any csv format so that users can download it onto their local drives as static documents. Would this be possible in any way? Do I have to write any code to achieve this?

    TIA

     Hi,

As I understand what you are trying to achieve,

    ·         You have a forms library of InfoPath forms.

    ·         Each form has a number of form fields.

    ·         You want a CSV file of rows for every InfoPath form, with columns matching the form fields.

Is this a one of job? If so, propagate all the InfoPath fields up to the document library.  Create a custom view of the libaray. Export the library as a Excel File under the action tab. Save the Excel as a CSV file.

    I hope this helps

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

If i go to Actions and use Export to Spread sheet, it will export all infopath forms within that form library into excel. But, I need only one or only selected infopath forms in csv format.

I was wondering if we have that option when we hover the mouse on the form name. (with in the dropdown list)  so that users might not confuse in using it. Is there any way of doing like that?
