Data Connection to a SQL View

    Hi all

I have a view in a SQL database which is the result of a Join between to tables. I would like to connect to this view in InfoPath, however it seems that when I run the Data Connection wizard and connect to the database, InfoPath only allows me to connect to the databases tables.

Am I missing something simple to be able to connect to and query a View?

Many thanks for any help and suggestions.

Hmmmm -- I just tried and all my views showed up in the list with my tables. You can always edit the SQL (in the data connection wizard, click the Edit SQL button) and change the 'from' statement to use your view.

Thanks, based on your reply I created a new test DB on my PC and I can see the view perfectly. I suspect that I was having SQL permissions issues on our test server.

    Many thanks.
