Datepicker Placement weirdness

I have a long (more than a screenful) FV form w/ multiple date fields. When clicking on each's datepicker icon, a datepicker dutifully appears, but only for the topmost one is it located anywhere near the associated field. There isn't much in the way of styling or JS that doesn't come from Qdabra, but are there things I should be looking for that might be causing this?

Cannot create a Query Data Connection for one Library of a site, but can for very similar ones on same site

I have a site with 2 very similar XML libraries, one of which has at least 1 Query data connection; the other library is the one used for the SharePoint Library Submit DC, but when I try to create a Query DC for it, it cannot get its list of columns ("Encountered an error when retrieving columns: Failed to fetch"). It seems be running afoul of CORS:

Problem w/ User Display

I have an old (year or so) FV form which displays users in a number of places. Normally, the user's name is shown in a box w/ an X for removing it. However, now the name is no longer shown, although the box & the X are still there. And if I look at the underlying HTML, I can see an attribute w/ the user's email address. The same data, when displayed using the InfoPath form that the FV form was derived from, does not have this issue. And a new version of the FV form does not seem to, either. (We need the "old" FV version to display old data), the new FV form will be working off a different slightly modified library.) Has anyone seen this and, better, know how to address it?

Multi-field Dropdown Value

Suppose I have a dropdown drawing from a table, and I want the values of 2 different fields for the selection, each being stored in the appropriate form field (for example, the name and code number. I'm guessing I cannot do that directly (although I would love to be proven wrong!). If there were a way to access the other fields of the selection, then I could handle this with the appropriate field-assignment rules. If not, I'm left with kind of hacky choices: create a 3rd field that combines the values & then break them up to do the assignments, or re-query that table for other fields. Is there a way to do this that avoids these hacky choices?

Cannot edit filter of dropdowns with empty filter

I added a DropDown element against a dynamic list, but when I try to edit its filter, the control to "Select a field or group..." is disabled. I have other similar DropDowns on the same form whose filters I can edit, EXCEPT for those that do not have a filter specified. Since the ones with filters must have been empty at some point, this has not always been a problem.

Adding field to form & XML Library

I have an XML Library & a form defined for it. I want to add a field to that form and have it show up as a column in the XML library that it posts to. What is the proper sequence of adding it to the form, the library, and the list of promoted properties (or what to use instead of promoted properties) so that the submitted value is displayed in both the form & in the library (and, presumably, be available to access from a Power Automate flow)?

Searching in a Repeating Section

For submission validation, I want to be able to test all occurrences of a repeating section to see if any meet a certain criteria: for example, do any of the dropdowns not have a selection, or do any numeric fields have a negative value. Is GetUserProfileByName via SOAP connection deprecated?

Does anyone know if Is GetUserProfileByName via SOAP connection is fully deprecated? Last year at this time I was able to create a new form and make a data (receive) connection with GetUserProfileByName, but this year I get the popup "InfoPath cannot find or cannot access the specified Web service description." I know Infopath will be fully retired on July 14, 2026, but was hoping to eke out one last form collection.

Extract Repeating Table data from xml forms for exporting

Hi, we are winding it down with InfoPath. Microsoft has given my organization until the end of the year to redevelop everything InfoPath into the Power Platform. I am down to my last form which contains several repeating tables. I need a solution to extract the repeating table data from the xml forms so it can be exported and then imported into a SharePoint list. I have seen options to create a workflow in SharePoint Designer and another to use Excel Power Query. Anyone have any links they can share to walk me thru the process? Thank you,

2 Sections visibility with Rules

I have a form with 2 sections, containing hidden signatures of approvers. When manager1 approves, it should show signature1 - same for manager2 respectively. Of course either signature should only be visible when the whole form has been approved. How can I achieve this with formatting rules?

Good afternoon, I was wondering if you could help me with a workflow that utilizes a parallel block for multi- person approvals/ rejections. I'm not sure how to go about setting this up in SD 2013 but my workflow goes something like this, Step: MANAGER APPROVAL If Current Item:Document_Type equals FMI Procedure Set Status to Pending Manager Review Email Vinson, James; Owen, Belinda; Marange, Luke The following actions will run in parallel: Step: Managers Approval for Review If Current Item:Owen Approval equals Reviewed and Current Item:VINSON_APPROVAL equals Reviewed and Current Item:MARANGE_APPROVAL equals Reviewed Set Status to Pending Director Review Email Dexter, Jaimee Step: Managers Reject Review If Current Item:Owen Approval equals Rejected or Current Item:MARANGE_APPROVAL equals Rejected or Current Item:VINSON_APPROVAL equals Rejected Set Status to Edits Requested Email Current Item:Created By So basically, in parallel it is waiting for those 3 fields to all equal Reviewed once that happens it will change the status to Director review and email me? Do I have to tell it to wait for all three, or is the block basically telling it within this step all three need to equal this before carrying on? And the condition below is if any of them equal Rejected (not all) then it is sent back. Does this look correct? I can't seem to get it to work.... At what point, and how do I transition out of the parallel block? All I need is for the approvals/ rejections of the 3 managers to happen at the same time and not have to wait for a sequential order.

Unable to publish form - the url xxx is invalid

Infopath designer 2013 (15.0.4763.1000)
SP2010 and SPSE (same behavior on both environments)

Steps to reproduce
1) Open Infopath
2) Create empty formular
3) Files -> publish to "SharePoint server"
4) Save the formular locally on pc
5) Enter url to SharePoint site
6) Infopath gives the error "The url xxxx is invalid"

It is the same url that I without problems can open an existing form with or make a dataconnection to.

Fiddler trace show this when publishing:

And then the error shows.

The environment does not have internet access.

If I try on another environment with internet access I can publish and get this fiddler trace.

and then a list selector shows in infopath.

It has been possible to publish the forms earlier (without internet access) but i do not know when or what changes since it stopped. I dont really think the internet access is the problem.

I do have a site and permissions at the rootlevel.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before?

Order of controls and rules

I am comparing data in a few fields, two of which are percent and dollars. I am comparing these fields to a secondary connection value that appears on my form as hints. Let's say 10% appears in the percent field and $200 in the dollars field as hints. On a changeable percent box, I want to change a text status to invalid if the main form entry percent field is greater than 10. Next, I want to say "Invalid dollars" if less than 200 for the fillable dollar field. If I move top down, entering the percent first and the dollar second, everything works fine. If I pull a switcharoo and change my mind, going backwards and re-changing the percent to a valid amount, my text status doesn't change. In short, top down and done, works every time. Bottom up or switching aroundback and forth with the order doesn't fire the rule on the percent field again. Sorry for this confusing explanation. Secondary Connection: Percent - Shows as a hint Secondary Connection: Dollars - Shows as a hint Main Form Fillable field: Percent Entered Rule1 on this field sets the text of Text Status If > 10 then Invalid Alternate If >=10 then Valid Main Form Fillable field: Dollars Entered Rule2 on this field sets the text of Text Status If =200 then Valid Main Form viewable but not fillable: Text Status. Workflow is emailing multiple people- need multiple approvals before proceeding

I have built a procedure review form that (per the workflow) is sent to email 4 individuals when the initial review is submitted. How would I go about making sure that all 4 people have reviewed the procedure, and the workflow can continue on to the Director for approval? Im lost on how I could manipulate that on either the workflow or the InfoPath form?

Hiding and unhiding sections of string-backed checkboxes

I have a form with 4 sections arranged in the following manner: a string-backed checkbox is used to determine if a section of other string-backed checkboxes gets displayed or not; specifically, the section is only displayed if the "mater" checkbox is checked. This show/hide functionality works as expected. One of the 4 sections also works otherwise as expected. But with the other 3, toggling any of the "master" checkboxes unchecks all "slave" checkboxes, even in sections not associated with that master. This happens even if I remove the conditional hiding of these sections. These "erasures" happen even when I toggle other checkboxes at the same level as the "masters" (think of them as masters w/o any slaves). Note that the slaves subject to this problem also are not saving their values to the submitted record, which seems too coincidental to not be relevant, but I have no idea how. The slaves in the section that doesn't show this problematic behavior also get properly saved. Any ideas as to what might cause this (these?) issues, or where I might look for the cause of the problem (if not the solution)?

Add Multiple Database Connections

I need to be able to submit data to two different access db tables in InfoPath. I already based my form off of the one table, and would like to add another one as a separate data connection. How can I do so? There doesn't seem to be an option for a database in the data connection wizard when selecting a new submit connection. There is the option to select a database as a receive connection though.

Word Print for InfoPath Form Connected to Access Database

I'm creating a form in InfoPath 2007 (yes, I know it's veeery old) for my dad's business that needs to utilize the Word print view functionality so I can print form responses to a very specific custom layout. I've been able to get a hold of the InfoPath 2003 SDK so I can use the InfoPath to Word Wizard to create an XSL file from a word document with my form template's XML schema attached.

Here's where things get tricky. I created my form based on an Access database to allow for form responses to be submitted to the database (so he has a record of every customer he has worked with). Therefore, all the fields in the form correspond with fields in the database and are bound to them. The problem is that it seems InfoPath makes every field a Field (attribute) instead of a Field (element) when basing the form template off of a database. I also cannot seem to change this. Therefore, when I try to lay out where I want the information from filled forms when printed to appear within my word document, there is only one element titled "Order_Database" (the name of the table in the Access database that stores the order history) for me to position on the page that has many attributes (e.g. customer_name, order_date, address, phone, items).

How am I supposed to lay out the document for printing when the form fields are attributes of "Order_Database" (I cannot position attributes all over a page)?

Overriding Permissions in SharePoint designer vs. InfoPath button?

I am trying to restrict the person selected in my form is the only person that is allowed to approve or reject. Basically wanting to format the button to allow my field InfoPath (person) to be able to run the actions on the button on individual views. As it stands now anyone is able to “approve” the task, however only the person named will get the email for the request. I’ve played around with it and seem to format the button with conditions, but it isn’t submitting the information. I’ve also worked it into the workflow (see below). Do I need to add it within the workflow, or is it just a format on my button on each view? I've gone down the path of using my workflow to set permissions based on fields in my form. Why isn't it working?? I started in Impersonation step and my conditions and rules look like below; If Current Item:SPEC_REVIEW_APPROVAL is empty value Replace Read, View Only, Full Control of item in this list I'm replacing the group to View only/ Read that isn't allowed to approve, and granting full control back to the manager group. Can someone please help me out? Should I continue down this path, or somehow utilize my approve buttons to restrict who can run the button rules. Thank you

Issue w/ display of Person field

I have files in an XML Forms library which were created by an InfoPath form, which contains a Person field. That field doesn't show up in the Library definition, but the entered value is displayed when a file is re-opened, and I can see the information contained in the file's contents. If I open a file up using a FormsViewer form (derived from that InfoPath form), the person field isn't populated. What can I do to get this field's contents to display?
