Does anyone know of a codeless and smarter way to both validate and creation of actions to correct user input of Last Names (surnames) so that they are all Proper Cased capitalisation?
I can come up with a solution that handles most of the following conditions with a lot of conditions and pattern matching, but not for all them. There must be a more efficient way to handle all name types of such as the following examples:
Brooks - single word
- Graham-King - one hyphen
- Van Dyck - with one space
- Van-Der-Laan - with two hyphens
- Van Der Laan - with two Spaces
- O'Connor - with one apostrophe
- MacDonald - 'Mac' names (tough to distinguish between MacDonald and Maclean)
- McDonald - "Mc' names
- St. Francis - "St.' with or without the fullstop (.) names
- Van der s'Graven- containing combinations of apostrophe, hyphen and spaces
All help and comments would be greatly appreciated!!
