    Condition on Repeating Table Elements

    Hello,

I have a repeating table with a column "trigger".
When I click submit, I want to change the triggers only where it equals some value.

Specifically, if trigger=0 set that trigger (and only that trigger) to 1.  So, I made an action rule on the submit button with:

    Condition: trigger = 0
    Set a fields value: trigger = 1.

The problem is that if any trigger in the repeating table = 0 it sets them all to 1.
I only want to change the triggers that are 0, not all of them.

    Can anyone assist me?

Hi - This is just basic InfoPath functionality - if your control is outside of the repeating group (which if these are submit rules or rules on a specific submit button, I'll assume it is) all instances of a field will be set. The condition is only going to check the first instance, and all instances will be set.

    So - your options are:

    1. qRules has a SetValue command that be can be used for this kind of filtering
    2. You could add another helper field to your repeating group and set it to "1", for example, then on that field have a rule with a condition to set the trigger field (you would want to then set the helper field back to 0 or blank so it was ready to go the next time)
