Hey Guru's

   I have an button on my InfoPath form that I'm trying to only allow specific people interact with.  I have a text field "whoamI" defaulted to Username() which picks up the current user.  I have a separate list with the specific users to click the button. 

I'm drawing a blank on how to hide the button for anyone else but those specific people.

 I was thinking if whoami doesn't equal "user" = hide button but not working like I thought it would.

What appears to be happening is the value in the separate list is not the same as what InfoPath returns as Username().    In your SharePoint list file containing the names, is the field a Person or Group field?  If so check the "Show Field:" field at the bottom of the page.  Try changing the field to Name and see if yo get a match.  Show the secondary data connection of all of the values and you will then know what you are looking at. Let me know if this does not help.

 Yeah, that is definitely what's happening.  We're working on stripping out any extra info that's being presented in the way the UserName is being shown.  Thanks for the response.
