Two drop downs using same data connection

I'm having a problem populating two txt fields in a print view. Here is what is happening. I have 2 drop downs. One is "Current job title" and the other is "New job title". I have a data connection to a SP list that has 1 column of all the job titles. The drop downs do work I guess, but when I set the 2 txt fields, CurrentTitle and NewTitle, they both populate with the same job title (seems to populate with whichever title comes first in abc order). I've tried using a 2nd data connection to the same list and it does that same thing. I've tried making a 2nd column in the look-up list with the same job titles and querying that, but it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Please help! Thanks!

It sounds like you have your two text boxes bound to the same field - can I see a copy of your form? You can attach it under the Options tab in a reply.

Hi Hilary, thank you for the response. I got it to work (Maybe not the correct way). The two drop down boxes were populated from the same SP list, JobTitles. The form is used for when employee changes job titles within a company. So I had a CurrentJobTitle drop down and a NewJobTitle drop down. I created rules to set a currentjobtitle text box to be set with the title that was chosen in the first drop down, and a newjobtitle text box to be set with the title that was chosen from the second drop down. That didn't work correctly. So I ended up creating a second column in the SP list with the exact same job titles, and then populating one drop down from one column and the other drop down from the second column and it is working now.
