Hi All,
I've been building a form to create an appointment booking system. The method I've chosen (which may not be the best way) is that I've got a number of sharepoint list calendars that people will access in outlook as an overlay to their own outlook calendars (as well as directly in sharepoint if they please). They will enter their availability as calendar events (list items) which will be accessible to the contact centre advisors to see what time slots are free to pick from. The calendars available to pick from will be limited by a value in the form (location) based on a selected address. I was going to add all the calendars as sharepoint list data connections but I'm limited to 15 connections so this is not feasible and would also be a bit of a management nightmare. I need individual calendars so each user can connect their calendar list to outlook and see only their own items.
Is there a way I can programatically create or update a data connection based on the location value e.g. if the value is lancaster I want to query x, y and z calendars and if the value is chorley I want to query a, b and c calendars?
As I mentioned I'm not sure whether this is the best/only way forward. We are not limited to codeless solutions although ideally we're hoping to keep using SharePoint and InfoPath.
Happy to provide more details I'm just not sure what else to elaborate on.
Thanks,
Sophie
