I have developed an InfoPath form and it needs to load data from the SharePoint site (SP 2010) As we need wild card search I am using REST web service to get the data from the Share Point List. When users create a new form, every thing works fine and the form gets submitted. But when the approvers open that existing form, and just select the option to approve (a radio button) and click submit, the form does not get submitted and gives the following error:
InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occurred while the form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location The specified location cannot be accessed. Check that the location you entered is correct and that you have appropriate permissions.
For existing forms I am fetching the data using the REST web service connection and if I disable that, I am able to submit the form. But if I enable the REST web service data connection to retrieve data, the form does not get submitted. And ironically, this works fine in our DEV environment without any issues, but when I tried to roll out to production, this change does not work.
I found one post where the user had exact same problem and mentioned about the hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2479169
But this hotfix information does not talk about my issue, so I am afraid to apply the hotfix on production.
Please help..Any pointers?
Thanks.
