I've been developing a complex form for years now that was originally created in InfoPath 2007. A while back it was updated to a 2010 form without any issues. Last week, I got a new machine and decided to setup Office 2013. Everything went fine. I was able to get InfoPath 2013 running and my code opening in Visual Studio 2012. I had to bounce back over to the old machine the other day and opened the XSN file, no issues. I tried to edit the code and InfoPath threw an error:
InfoPath cannot start Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications. The parameter is incorrect.
I've Googled the issue, but can't seem to find any resolution. The only thing that changed were updating some references that Visual Studio choked on at first. Besides that, nothing has changed. Everything worked as expected before. Is it not possible to move back and forth between 2010 and 2013? If it is, how might I go about figuring out what's happening and how to fix it?
