First let me say I have no experience with InfoPath but, as a software developer, I have been asked by my company's local IT department to help with an InfoPath problem...
Basically they have an InfoPath enabled web application hosted in a different country (Denmark) and it works without problems at that location. However, whenever anyone tries to access it from my location (UK) the application forms load but certain text boxes (such as domain user lookups) are blank. We assumed this to be some firewall issue but we also have a Citrix environment hosted in the UK and the same application form (and data record) displays the data correctly so I am now coming down on the side of browser settings.
From testing it there appears to be a difference in the URLs;
- Working URL - contains "ClientInstalled=true" (users in Denmark and Citrix get this)
- Non Working URL - contains "ClientInstalled=false" (users of Desktops in the UK get this).
I assume by ClientInstalled it is referring to InfoPath but all machines regardless of location, or being desktop or Citrix have InfoPath 2010 installed.
Can anyone advise or point me in the direction of what would cause this URL parameter to be different?
As I said I believe it to be a browser setting but so far have been unable to work out which one.
