When
exporting data from a database in SP to excel, data is exported as text. This
makes numerical data difficult to use in Pivot tables. Currently the Excel
sheets needs to be manually reformatted every time a post is added to the
database and the excel sheet is updated.
There seems to be a possibility in the InfoPath
form where export type can be selected. However, whatever value we select, the
outcome is still “single line of text”, except for one field of dates where the
format is “date3 and time” and the fields with names where the format is
“Person or Group”
