Hi all,
New here, tried searching the forums and couldn't quite locate what I was looking for, although odds are it has probably been answered in some capacity.
Regarding my question (thanks in advance by the way);
I have 2 separate infopath forms (templates);
1) The main form is used to submit data, create new forms, etc. and is synced up with a sharepoint library. This is basically my main document for my users.
2) The second form is used to pull metrics (data), allows the user to sort entries on sharepoint, etc and I've also built some additional user interface features.
What I'm attempting to do within the second form is to pull in the data that is submitted by the first template form to the sharepoint library and display specific fields. I've done this obviously by adding a data connection to the sharepoint library and I've imported all of the fields successfully. Here's where I'm getting a snag; The fields are only imported (secondary) with the first row of data available (there is no first/last options, etc). To get a better idea of what I'm going into here, please take a look at the below example table.
Repeating Table A (starting table):
Field Title 1 | Field Title 2 | Field Title 3
Sally | 1234 Street | California
Repeating Table A (second insert into form):
Field Title 1 | Field Title 2 | Field Title 3
Tim | 1234 Road | Arizona
.. etc
In particular, if I add Field Title 1 to my interface form, I simply get Sally; whereas I would expect to be able to pull either Sally or Tim or however many exponential repeating tables are added. My main concern here is I believe I am setting the data types up potentially wrong as I have tried using the nested eval method to pull either Sally or Tim separately and been unsuccessful. Also, if I used the function, count(Field Title 1), it always returns 1 no matter how many Repeating Table A's I add in an actual live form. My goal is to have a repeating Table with fields inside the repeating table and for each of those unique fields associated with the Nth to the power repeating tables to be pullable. Hope that makes sense, please let me know if you have any questions and thanks again!
