Promoted column value change not reflected in form view

There is a checkbox control in my form tied to a boolean field in the main data source that is promoted as an editable yes/no column in the form library.

    Scenario:

    1. I submit the form to the library with the checkbox not checked (0)
    2. I browse to the form library and confirm the column value displays No.
    3. I edit properties of the item, change value to checked and save.
    4. I confirm column value in the form library now displays Yes.
    5. I download the xml and confirm the data source shows an updated value of 1.
    6. I reopen the form in the browser but the checkbox is not checked.

The Edit Properties appears to properly update the promoted column value which updates the XML but it does not update the checkbox in the form view.

Why this is happening and is there a way to make sure the form view displays the value in the XML correctly?  Thanks in advance.

Okay, we have figured it out.  Add this to the list of how SharePoint shortens my life expectancy every day I come to work.

SharePoint lists/libraries use 0/1 for yes/no field values.

InfoPath can use False/True -OR- 0/1 for values in boolean data source items and checkbox controls.  By default is uses False/True but False is not the same as 0 and True is not the same as 1.  You have to manually change the settings on the data source field and form controls to use 0/1 instead of False/True so that the column value matches the control value.

Hi Eric and thank you very much for responding to your own post with this gem.

I am personally thankful that you reminded me of this fact, since I seem to have forgotten, but your summary is very concise and a great warning to people.
