InfoPath Dev

So I had a simple app that queried the listdata.svc using REST in SharePoint/InfoPath 2010. I tried moving it the new environment and I get some not fun errors including an Access Denied. I can browse to the page just fine. I am wondering if this is a known issue with the latest version of SharePoint/InfoPath.

 Can you access your REST URL in the browser? I've not tested REST with IP in ShP 2013 yet...

I CAN access it without any hitch. Are there any other infopath solutions for partial word queries?

Not that I can think of out of the box. So - you get an access denied error from IP but not from the browser? You may have already done this - but have you tried (just for the sake of experimentation) creating a new form w/ a REST connection to see if it reproduces? Maybe help narrow the issue down....

I did try and received the same error. I figure I am either dealing with a connection error of some sort OR something that no longer works in the new version. Ideally, it would be great to figure it out before wasting any more time on it. Thanks for your response. If it means anything, i based my app entirely on your recommendations in a previous thread. Truly, great stuff!

 I'll try with one of my servers later today and let you know if I have an issue in 2013. You may also want to try Fiddler while creating the connection in IP to see if it gives you any insight.... more later today. :-)

 I have good news and bad news!

The good news is that I just created an InfoPath 2013 form with a REST connection to a SharePoint 2013 site. I am not having any errors trying to connect, and it pulls my data in.

The.... uhh... bad news? That makes it even more likely the issue would be with your server. Do you have access to the SharePoint logs? What about running Fiddler while making the connection to see if you can uncover a bit more info....?

Hilary, thanks so much. I was hoping it was an error with my setup. Now I don't have that inner voice telling me that I am completely wasting my time.
