I have a repeating table which is connected to an external data source (SQL).

I've added a check box to the repeating table. How can I set values of various fields based on the item I've checked in my repeating table? My data connection has the values in the background. They are not show them in the repeating table fields.

 Hi - when you say set values of various fields - are these fields within the main data source? Or your secondary data source the repeating table is bound to? Where is the field the checkbox is bound to?

If the checkbox is bound to a field within the same secondary data source, you should be able to just set rules on that field....

The checkbox is bound to the secondary data source.

The fields are on my main data source.

 I'd think you could just put a rule on the checkbox to set a field's value in the main data source if the checkbox value = true - I mean, since the checkbox is bound correctly, you should be able to just select the field you need.... Is something not working the way you'd anticipate when you do that?

 Thanks it does seem to be that simple. Very long day is my only excuse.

 Spoke a little too soon. A field value gets set based on my rule, yet it doesn't appear to be the value bound to the check box. I evidently have the filter set incorrectly. i.e. show results based on checked row.

After a brief hiatus of looking at my form. Rule was simple. In case anybody else wants to know, this is what I did.

Rule is on my check box control.

Condition - check box = yes

Set a field on your main data source i.e. Address 1

The value is from my second data connection i.e. SQLAddress 1

Add a filter, which is  checkbox = yes

Repeat on required fields.
