    Unpublishing a form

    Hi,

I'm working with Infopath 2003 and without Sharepoint.

I had previously not had any problems e-mailing my form back and forth between users while we were testing and developing it, but I believe that to try and resolve a problem at one point, I published the form to my desktop. This seems to now be preventing others from opening this template. Is there a way to unpublish? I'm also working without a shared network (clients don't have access to the same network). I don't want to copy and paste the contents and then start rebuilding everything including data source and conditional formatting on everything if that can be avoided.

I am assuming that unpublishing will resolve the problem. As additional information, when I try to publish to my ocmputer and remove the alternate path, IP tells me I can't due to security requirements. My security settings are set to domain as I use a data connection to submit a form via e-mail.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

I don't believe there's a way to unpublish a form without going into the manifest files and making manual modifications - and this is dangerous. If you make a small mistake it would damage your form.

Typically, when a form is designed two copies exist: a form that is designed and a form that is published. I believe that in the scenario you are describing, InfoPath would ask you to publish to a path different that the saved (designed) form. Are you sure that these two copies don't exist?

What happens if you design the published form and File > Save it to a new location? Does the problem remain?
