Can somebody please help/explain how to use Infopath 2010 & SP 2010 server with UserProfileService webservice, specifically "ModifyUserPropertyByAccountName" to update user profile properties.
I do have permissions to perform the operation in CA, under my login name.
The AccountName I use with the service is an existing account on the server.
The PropertyData node seems exactly as what the web service expects.
I tried a simple example with changing only the SPS-HireDate, but no success.
No errors are shown.
The service call seems to proceed and executes following rules without problem, even the refresh of the UseProfileByName service for the same accountname.
Any insight would be appreaciated.
P.S: Similar searches on the web offer purely programmatic solutions or facilitating jQuery. It seems to me, that it should be possible with Infopath rules only.
