We are using an Infopath 2010 form template for monthly reports. Forms are created in and submitted to a Sharepoint form library.Supervisors merge monthly reports. Fields with manually entered data merge properly, i.e. bulletted items with prefixes, e.g.
Personal Items:
- [L. Smith] my issue
- [B. Jones] my issue
However, one field is populated by a formula from a secondary data source and is read only. We want these item to roll up into the supervisors merged report as well, e.g.
Some metric
- [L. Smith] my score is 10
- [B. Jones] my score is 20
We get this instead
Some metric
- my score is 10
- my score is 10
It seem like the default formula is overwriting the results of the merge process. Any suggestions?
More detail:
1. the user opens the form library in Sharepoint and create a blank form
2. User select supervisor name from a dropdown list populated from a secondary source
3. Then the user selects her/his own name which trigger a rule that causes various defaults to be set throughout the form, mostly through filtered calls to secondary data sources
4. Individual user submits form to library
5. Supervisor uses the library list to merge the forms submitted by his/her direct report's.
