    weekly report

hi, I need to create a weekly report using info-path 2010 and SharePoint 2010.. in our department , each division (6) will submit his report .. all result should be summarized in one report for manager to review modify then approve.. the report can have 4 section(many fields), with photos.. all reports are similar.. what is the best scenario , to have it - is it to create one form and submit field data into db, then creeate another one to show the result . - or, to create 6 reports, and pass data into manager report.. I'm new here.. I try to work with DB please Advise me and provide me with extra links (how to ??) Thansk

    Hi -

I would probably have one weekly report form that displayed different sections or fields for the different divisions. Then I'd have another form I used to summarize the data. If the data is pretty flat you could probably get by with just promoting properties from the weekly report form - if the data is at all complex, in order to have a report form that summarizes it, you may need to submit to a DB - either you'll have to build the form off the DB or you could use a web service (like DBXL) to submit the data from the weekly report form to the DB without have the limitations of a database bound form.
