Return Message "No Items Found" When Web Service Does Not Find Match for Query

    Hi,

I have a simple web service that calls a stored procedure which, in turn, queries a database of medical items.

All of that is working fine, but I think I am missing something very basic here.  I am using the InfoPath 2010 form in a SharePoint web part, and I have that working well also.  I get my items back in a table when there is a match, but nothing is displayed when there is no match.

What I would like to do is display a simple message, like, "No Items Found" when there are no matches for the user's query.  Is there a way to display a message when there are no rows returned from the database query?

    Thanks,

    William H

You should be able to accomplish this by creating a Calculated Value control and conditionally hiding it with the condition:

    ResultRepeatingGroup Exists

     Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the prompt response.  I did not even know that feature existed.

    Thanks again,

    William
