Hi!
I'm not an advanced InfoPath user and I'm having a problem that I'm hoping someone here can help me with.
I have an InfoPath form that has a data connection with a SharePoint list. My goal is to have a form that, upon opening, checks the list, gathers parameters, and populates/creates as many repeating sections as it needs to based on a field.
For example:
Say in my sharepoint list I have 3 columns: Number (key), Type, Color.
The example values are as follows:
| Number |
Type |
Color |
| 1 |
jello |
blue |
| 2 |
jello |
yellow |
| 3 |
pudding |
blue |
| 4 |
yogurt |
blue |
| 5 |
yogurt |
pink |
| 6 |
yogurt |
green |
| 7 |
yogurt |
white |
I want to create a unique InfoPath form that always looks at this list and pulls the associated values for all "yogurt" fields. Right now, my form pulls the first row of information in the list regarding yogurt (Number: 4 --- Type: yogurt --- Color: blue). However, I when I click the "new item" button for the repeating section, it just adds the exact same values (that is, the first yogurt row over and over). I would like it to move down each unique row and I want it to automatically add new sections (and populate the fields) for each unique yogurt instance.
Can this be done?
I appreciate and thank you very much before hand for your help!
