    Using "Find" inside a form

    Hello,

I have a form created with general text next to a field. The text is a numeric ID that I would like to be able to use find on but for some reason when I use the find option it totally ignores the text and says no results found. The find option will only work when I am in design view. Does anyone know a workaround for this?

The find feature in the filler as far as I can tell only searches through text that is inside editable controls like text boxes, etc.  It doesn't do searches for text inside calculated values or simply text that is directly in the canvas.  Browser search should look at everything since its the browser itself performing the search instead of InfoPath.

Thanks for the response. I ended up placing the text inside read-only text boxes.
