    Re: Info path repeating table date filed validation help

    Here's what I suggest:

    Create a new field in the repeating group called InvalidDate.  Give it the following default value:

     msxsl:string-compare(../my:StartDate, ../preceding-sibling::my:RepeatingGroup[1]/my:EndDate) <= 0

    you'll probably need to change the field names to match your form.

     Then add a validation rule to your StartDate field to show a validation error on the condition InvalidDate is equal to true.

    That should do it.

    Thanks Jimmy for your quick response.  Thank you so much.

    I use another loginc.. I introduce two field. to get the previous row end date and current row start date.. then i compare that.

    to Tet the pervious row enddate i used

    ../my:group1/my:group2[count(../my:group2/my:enddate)-1]/my:enddate

    To get the current row start date

    ../my:group1/my:group2[count(../my:group2/my:startdate)]/my:startdate

    Thanks
