I have a very very detailed main form. Originally, it contained ~75 promoted fields because of extensive task lists that require an email to be sent to assignees (and are required for workflows to work). After I figured out that Infopath has severe limitations on the number of promoted fields that can be published, I created 2 subforms - taking the main form down to about 20 promoted fields. That solved my publishing issue, but now I have a new problem: embedding the subforms into my main form. I am able to create a button that opens the subforms, but I really need to be able to embed the subforms into the main form (ie. you can't tell they are separate forms). Either of these options would work for me: a) a link that would branch open the form or b) embed the form such that it is flush with the rest of the main form.
Something that may be an issue with this, too: My subforms are published as content types, but the main form is published as the document library template. Is this the correct way to do it, or should all 3 forms be published as content types? If so, how do I specify which one is the actual 'template' in the SP settings?
Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
Regards,
Beth
