Looping People Picker control to get all account ID's

    Hi,

In my project, i have a requirement to create form which is used to send emails. I have to do this with Infopath 2010 and workflows. InfoPath to design to Email Form with, To, CC, Subject, Body etc., Workflow to send email when item is added to the form library. User can enter 'N' number of recipients in To or CC.So i added people picker control on the Form for "To".  In my workflow, I was not able to get all account ID that user entered on the form.

I tried multiple ways of using Eval and Concatenate to get all values of "To" into a temporary field and thought of using it in workflow. But no luck. The same logic is working for text box instead of people picker.

As we cannot write actions on people picker control, we can use Button (Send mail) to get all values from people picker and to store it in a temp field with semicolon delimiter.

Can any one help me on how to get all users AccountID's to make use in workflow to send email.

    Thank you

The PeoplePicker is probably the issue.

Why not do away with that and use a generic data source structure with UserProfileService or Qdabra's ADWS to fill in the people's names.

Then, you could use eval-eval - see this link:http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/04/05/569338.aspx

Of course, the workflow could also do it by extracting the field data from the form. I think that you can do this in stock SharePoint Designer workflows, but if not, you can look at Nintex or write your own in Visual Studio.

     Thank you Patrick.

could you please explain on how to use data source structure with UserProfileService to fulfill my requirement?  My actual requirement is, when user types in few characters of employee name, it should show all matching entries as pull-down style. As it is difficult in infopath, we suggested for people picker. But unfortunately, we are not able to make people picker work for our requirement :(
