InfoPath Dev

Greetings,

I am new to InfoPath and have some programming experience as well as database experience. What I am trying to do is create a timesheet that will be used my multiple people on my team. The timesheet contains the employee information, the projects they worked on, the hours they worked, vacation time, etc. Once the user clicks Submit, the information will go to an Access database. Then an email is to sent to the manager indicating that user 1 has submitted a timesheet.

I have seen some InfoPath timesheet templates and project tracking templates but I haven't located a template that does both. Would you please point me in the right direction?

We have developed both and would be happy to share them with you for the time it takes us to help you configure them. They use a SQL database and a Web Service though since you can't use Access-backed InfoPath forms to have users submit over the Web.

I am not sure about Infopath however we had been using Replicon's online timesheet, a web based application and had never experienced any sort of issues whether it is reporting or back up support.

Project tracking options vary, depending on the scope of the project, but some degree of tracking is necessary to ensure the success of the project. In addition, a well-documented project planning document provides help with future projects by providing insights into solutions for problems both past and present. Expensive project planning software may be a good option for a larger company, but for a small business, downloading a free project plan template for use in MS Word is a more viable option.
