InfoPath Dev

I have a list, i want to display the list data in my InfoPath. Say I have "emp id, emp name, designation, city, state etc.,"  Once i select any of the said columns in my infopath it should display all the information related to that employee only in the remaining text boxes automatically. Please guide me i have been struggling to do this for the last one week. I do not have any workflows to do this and do not want also. Only have to display in my InfoPath. I have created data connection as well. only the latter part i am not able to do it. if you can explain me step by step it would be great..

it's not in the InfoPath form where you should display the list, actually what you can do is :

1- create a page on your site.

2- insert a webpart for your list (under Lists and Librairies category)

3- insert another webpart for your InfoPath form, the one containing your text boxes (under Forms category)

4- now you have to create a connection between the 2 webparts, I can't help you in this point because I'm facing problems in creating connections, but you can try, just click on the little black arrow on the top right of the first webpart, and choose Edit webpart, once page reloaded, click another time on the arrow and choose Connections -> Send Row Data to.
