    Infopath 2010 - Resize a checkbox on Windows 7??

    I am using Infopath 2010

I have a form on which I have resized a checkbox so that it is easier to use on a Windows 7 tablet (touch screen)

If I open the form on my XP machine (on which I am developing it), the form displays correctly, with the resized checkbox as expected.

When I open the form on my Windows 7 tablet, the checkbox displays at the standard (default) size.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, has anyone found a workaround?

thanks in advance for your assistance

Hi, thanks for getting back to me!

Just wondering if you have found this to be consistent across all Windows 7 machines, or if it is just on Windows 7 tablets? (I don't have a non-tablet Windows 7 machine on which to test this)

Thanks again for your assistance, and if you do manage to find a solution, I would love to hear it!

It's a bit of work, but I think the following should work as a workaround if you can't find anything else that works:

    1. Obtain image files for an enlarged checkbox in its checked and unchecked state.
    2. Create buttons using these images.
    3. Add formatting to hide the "checked" button when your boolean field is false, and hide the unchecked one when the field is true.
    4. Add rules to the unchecked button to set the boolean field to its checked value, and do the opposite for the other button.

I believe that should work. Does your form use a lot of checkboxes?

Hi Jimmy, thanks very much for getting back to me!

I have used the method you describe in the past on a form with just a couple of checkboxes, and it does work, it just isn't very convenient.

The form I am looking at has over 100 checkboxes, so it is going to be quite a bit of work to implement in this fashion.

thanks for the idea though - I appreciate you getting back to me, and hopefully this will help out someone else.
