InfoPath Dev

Hi everyone,

I've got a IP 2010 form that I intend to deploy in InfoPath Filler. The form is fine, but I want to be able to automatically hide, or automatically minimize the Ribbon.

I know pressing Ctrl F1 will minimise the ribbon, but can anyone tell me if this can be done automatically through code, (or any other way) so that when the user opens the form, they don't see the ribbon at all.

I've checked various other posts on this, but they seem to refer to Web browser forms or in Sharepoint. BUt I haven't found anything specifically about InfoPath filler forms.

If teh ribbon were automatically minimized, that would be good, or perfect would be if the Ribbon were hidden/disabled, so it was not possible to make it re-appear.

Have you looked into RibbonXML, I know you can set preferances fortype of Ribbon and so there might be some code taht allows you to disbale the ribbon as well. For setting preferances the code reads as follows; 

public string GetCustomUI(string ribbonID)
{
    string ribbonXML = String.Empty;

    if (ribbonID == "Microsoft.InfoPath.Designer")
    {
        ribbonXML = GetResourceText("MyInfoPathProject.Ribbon.xml");
    }

    return ribbonXML;
}
