Xml Changed event fires in InfoPath's "Preview" mode but not inside SharePoint

I have a drop down list. When a user selects an item from that drop down, I want the xml changed event that the drop down is bound to, to fire, and to populate a text box with another value. This works just fine inside InfoPath's preview mode, but when I try it out in a SharePoint site collection, the xml changed event doesn't fire until a button gets clicked, e.g. one of my "Show/Hide" buttons, or if I switch to another view inside the form. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Yup, I bet it is postback. On the drop down control, right click and select Properties. Under the Browser tab, try setting postback to always and see what happens.

This probably has to do with the postback settings on the control.  Could you open the control's property dialog and ensure that it is set to always postback?
