I have an web-enabled infopath template with managed code that submits data to a MOSS2007 form library. The Form library has additional data columns that are not part of the form template (ie, non-promoted). The Form library has some workflows that send emails if a non-promoted data cloumn is changed (like a status, for example). Everything works as it should, except...
For some reason, I must have the column "Name (linked to document with edit menu)" in the MOSS form library view to open a previously submitted form in the web browser from the form library. Without it, no other column that ordinarily would open the a submitted form in the browser for edits, will actually open the form in the browser!
For example, even if I have the column "Name (linked to document)" in the view, I must also have "Name (linked to document with edit menu)" in the view if I want to click on the "Name (Linked to doc)" and have the form open in a browser. If I remove the column "Name (linked to document with edit menu)" from the view, when I click on the "Name (linked to document)" the form tries to open in InfoPath and then it gives an error that states "...template is not trusted..." and InfoPath closes.
Is there any reason to this? It is very frustrating and took some time to realize why, while experimenting, some views allowed me to open the form in a browser and in some views it basically crashed because of the infoPath launch and error message.
I appreciate any help!
