InfoPath forms in a forms library are only being partly indexed by SharePoint crawl. Forms appear to be partly indexed, and the indexing crawl appears to stop at random. Some forms will be indexed completely, others will only have information from the part of the form searchable in SharePoint. Failure appears to occur at random parts of the form - crawl/index different fields. In some cases the crawl even appears to stop in the middle of a text field.
When I examine the XML in a text editor there is no apparent reason for the indexing failure - i.e. no symbols or codes that could be interpreted as an end of file.
Our SharePoint team claims that the issue is related to the XML file since they are not having any other reported issues with the search of the SharePoint site.
Indexing/Crawl for SharePoint Search Service:
- Using default iFilter for XML
- No timeout set
- Fast search is not enabled
- No errors reported when crawling XML files.
Note: I have researched the issue on SharePoint support sites without any success.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Suggestions for resolution?
