InfoPath Dev

My form submits data to the desired SharePoint list on another site in the same site collection. When I run it in preview from InfoPath, the data is submitted when I click the submit button.

When I run the published and admin-approved form in the browser, the data will only be submitted after the form is closed.

My submit button has one activity:

Set a field's value: Comand = "SubmitToSharePointList /submit=SPSubmit /mapping=mappingPlannedOutage"

I'm not showing the OOB ribbon buttons. There is another button to close the form without saving, using Close this form: No Prompt

When this button is clicked, a message "Sending data to the server ..." briefly appears.

Any ideas why the submit doesn't actually send the data, but closing the form does?

You need to make sure that your submit button or any control that is using the qRules commands is set to always send data to the server. To do this, double-click on the control to show its properties, and go to Browser forms tab, then select Always.
