We have GetMyUserInfo installed on server "X".  Server "X" was the DC.  We retired the server as a DC, but left the webservice running.

None of our forms that use the GetMyINfo webservice to pull the current users name are working. 

 If the DC is no on another server, do we need to change something in the configuration?  We did move it to a Windows 2008 Server.  Not sure if that could be the problem as well.

Open a powershell command prompt on the server and execute the following:

([ADSI]"LDAP://rootDSE").defaultNamingContext

 The output should be something like:

DC=domain,DC=local

Just add LDAP:// before the value.  Depending on your version, there may two locations in the web.config that need to be updated.  Just search for LDAP to find them.

We have done this and it still does not work.  Is there a configuration guide or installation guide we can look at?  The one we have is the Active Directory Web Service Users Guide.  It is 26 pages and everything in there looks correct on our system.  What other information can I give you to help troubleshoot?

Old environment was Active Directory on a Windows Server 2003.  We left the webservice running on this server even though Active Directory is no longer there.

The New Server that runs AD now, is Windows Server 2008.

We do have "GetUserInfo" working, but "GetMyInfo" does not return any results.

My Network Admin solved the issue.  He had to remove "Anonymous Access" under the security tab in IIS for that application.  It then worked.
