Rules Not Updating On Existing Forms

Hello, I have a form published to SharePoint 2010 that I've been updating. I'm having a problem with my latest change, though. I have a number of check boxes that I've added a couple of simple rules to: if the check box is "TRUE", the value of a certain field is decreased by 1. If that check box is FALSE, that field is increased by one. This works great when adding a new form to the library. My old forms have not been updated with these rules it appears. Even after opening the existing form, saving, and closing, nothing changes. Would anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening? Thank you in advance!

Usually an action is performed when a button is pressed or a field has been changed.  If the value of the checkbox isn't changing when you are opening the existing form, then the rule won't run again.
