    Can one publishing work for all?

    Hi All,

    I have three systems in our enviroment, DEV,QA, and Production. We used to publish InfoPath Form every time when promoting from DEV to QA to Production. Three systems have the same version of SharePoint, and MOSS.

    I am thinking if one publish works for all promotions. It is like this:

    1 . Data Connection Lib is used to connecting the lists and documents lib.

    2. There is "Contact Selector" control on all forms. So Url in "Context.xml" file is always pointing to Production server.

    3. When publishing, it always points to Production as well.

    I used published .xsn file (which pointing to QA) on DEV and QA, and it seemed work.  When I open manifex.xsf file, I can see properties and secondary connections as below:

     <xsf:listProperties>
      <xsf:fields>
       <xsf:field name="Form Status" columnName="{8CB4A2AC-E1D2-42B1-8D76-DFB6F2E8CEA8}" node="/my:myFields/my:FormStatus" type="xsd:string"></xsf:field>
       <xsf:field name="Approved Date" columnName="{F3713BE1-E747-48A3-803A-E07DEBDE9F4C}" node="/my:myFields/my:ApproveDate" type="xsd:string"></xsf:field>
       <xsf:field name="Approver1" columnName="{9C5C2358-4EC6-4CE4-9931-B3C601B529AD}" node="/my:myFields/my:groupApprovals/my:ApproverList1" type="xsd:string"></xsf:field>
       <xsf:field name="Approver2" columnName="{64A9ED58-6D6F-47E5-A472-A488D7F2F9E0}" node="/my:myFields/my:groupApprovals/my:ApproverList2" type="xsd:string"></xsf:field>
      </xsf:fields>
     </xsf:listProperties>
     <xsf:dataObjects>
      <xsf:dataObject name="TypeofPayment" schema="TypeofPayment1.xsd" initOnLoad="yes">
       <xsf:query>
        <xsf:sharepointListAdapter siteUrl="http://mossQA/forms/procurement/newvendorform/" sharepointGuid="{27E9D94E-C41D-4AA1-A0EB-687BF847894E}" infopathGroup="TypeofPayment" queryAllowed="yes" submitAllowed="no" name="TypeofPayment">
         <xsf:field sharepointName="Title" infopathName="Title"></xsf:field>
        </xsf:sharepointListAdapter>
       </xsf:query>
      </xsf:dataObject> </xsf:dataObjects>

    There are Guids in above sections. Are they server specific or Form specific?

    Does this solution have potential issue or side effect?

    Thanks,

    David
