Anyone aware of incompatibilities with InfoPath 2010 people picker when filled using InfoPath 2007 form filler? 

My user has reported problems filling a form which contains a People Picker when using InfoPath 2007 Form Filler.  The form was originally developed in InfoPath 2007, and has been modified using InfoPath 2010, however the form type remains "InfoPath 2007 Filler Form".

When using InfoPath 2007 Form Filler, the user is able to successfully select a person, and the picker control indicates that the selected person has been validated, however when saving the form, the underlying value (AccountId in this case) is not saved.

When the exact same form is filled using InfoPath 2010 Form Filler, all works as expected.

Any thoughts?

I would recommend using the contact selector control which will work in both environments.  If memory serves me, I believe the new 2010 people picker will not work correctly in InfoPath 2007.
