'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect' when trying to edit existing forms after form republishing

Hello, I recently made some changes to my existing IP2010 browser enabled form which is published to the SharePoint 2007 form library. After republishing the form I get following error when i try to edit existing forms.

InfoPath cannot submit the form.An error occurred while the form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location: http://Servername/Sitecollection/Library/.xmlThe filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.  Please note that if I create a brand new forms they work fine with the same data connections. Even when I tried editing the properties of the form thru SharePoint form library directly it gives me this error. The file .xml has been modified by Domain\User on 08 Feb 2012 15:08:56 -0000.

What sort of changes did you make to the form that broke the republish?  If you have an earlier version of the form that still publishes you can start there they slowly add your changes and republish.  It is likely one of the changes you made that the method I described will pinpoint what exactly is the culprit here.
