Tracking changes by username in merged forms

How do I track which username made which change when merging forms?  I tried using username as a prefix, but obviously that did not work.  I am using Infopath 2010.

    Hi Ladyath,

Are you talking about merging multiple XML forms into one XML form using the File->Save&Send->Merge Forms option? If so, you'll need to make sure each original form has the username in it. Then, change the XSLT file associated with the ImportParameters node in your manifest.xsf. You can use your favorite XML editor or Visual Studio to edit the XSLT. The XSLT is a transform file that describes which fields will be "imported" (i.e. merged) from the source files into the destination file.

    Best of luck,

Hi Yes, I will be saving the XML forms and then selecting to merge from the Save&Send option. Each form does capture the username and it is recorded as part of the form. Would you mind giving me an example of how to edit the XSLT file? I've not worked with the source files before except to create a default tabbed template for views.
