How to change view of SharePoint-based form for all but originator?

    Hi,

I have a basic InfoPath 2010 form which is filled in on a SharePoint 2010 site. It has two views, the default "Edit Profile" view which is fully editble and the "Completed Profile" view which has all the fields disabled with the exception of two attachment fields.

Is it possible to have the form set up so that only the person who filled in the form originally sees the "Edit Profile" view and everyone else sees the "Completed Profile" view? My form already pulls some information about the originator using a People Picker field and the GetUserProfileByName web service but I'm not sure how to use this to 'lockdown' the form for everyone else.

I've read quite a few different ways of doing something similar but Im a bit new to all this and Im confused which is the best way to do this without code.

    Many thanks for your help,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Have you tried using a submit button that has a rule to switch to the Edit Profile view if the current user who opened the form is the orginator? You can set that by adding condition in the rule. Or, you can try hiding the Edit Profile button if the current user is not equal to the originator and then always show the Completed Profile button, which, also has a rule to switch to the Completed Profile view.
