Hi,

I have a repeating table with a number of fields - some being drop-down boxes. What I want to do, is to automatically select the same value of a sibling (in the drop-down) when a user adds a new item. For instance:

Line 1: Language = English (drop-down list item), Name (Text box), etc.

User clicks 'Add item'

Line 2: Language = English (drop-down list item automatically selected), Name=empty

How can I achieve this? With a normal text box I have figured this out, but the drop-down leaves me dumbfounded :-)

Unless I'm mistaken, there should no difference in how to do this between a text box and a dropdown box.  How are you accomplishing it with a textbox?

with the text box I can specify a default value, but with a drop down not...

If you open the properties dialog for the field the dropdown is bound to, you should be able to set up a default value there.
